Szabó István
He has degrees in engineering, economics and project management.
By 1998 he worked as an architect. Between 1994 and 1998 he was a member of the General Assembly of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county, and Chairman of the Regional Development Committee. Between 1998 and 2006 as a Member of Parliament, he took part in the work of the European Integration Affairs Committee. In 2006 he was elected as Mayor of Mátészalka, since 2014 he is the Vice-president of the General Assembly of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county.
